Coast Pilot Corrections

Piloting Guides are the equivalent of the USCG Coast Pilot.

They are compliant versions of USCG Light Lists and NOAA Coast PilotsⓇ as required under 34 C.F.R. 166.33.

OCEAN CHARTING SERVICES provides Coast Pilots / Piloting Guides in three ring binders. Corrections are easy: Insert a correct updated page and remove the incorrect original page. No need for sticky notes, dog-eared pages or handwritten edits. Additionally, a Record of Changes sheet and an Update Log are provided to track the changes. The Record of Changes lists all issued updates, and the Update Log is used for recording who updated the publication, and when.

Allows the Use of Digital Publications

In 2015 OCS began to provide digital updates to many government publications. Weekly DVDs or USB flash drives may be sent in lieu of the printed updates formatted as replacement pages.
